Given a scene from a play or a film, how does the actor craft it into a performance? Or prepare it for an audition? Scene Camera is an intensive session with accomplished stage & screen professionals. Class time is divided equally between scene study, and performance for the camera. Areas of focus include: wide, medium & close up shots, two-shots & singles, foreground / background physicality, and movement for the camera.
A favourite of students and teachers alike, this class is suitable for first timers,
and for professionals looking to tune up their craft. The session begins with a look at basic human behaviour and within minutes, students are up on their feet, creating new characters. The class includes text and scene work, character creation, instant theatre and discussions about the "business" side of Acting. It's an incredible resource for actors, writers directors, dancers, animators, film makers, editors and a lot of fun.
